Skincare in our 30s is...different

I used to get by just fine with a little moisturizer but not anymore. I need hyaluronic acid and hydration masks to help keep my skin fresh and soft.

After all, we’re not getting any younger and that means our skin is aging and it needs a little more than it did in our twenties. Even if you’re in your twenties now, you could benefit from this skincare routine.

For many of us who have entered or are approaching our thirties…wrinkles are coming or they are already here. Wrinkles are a natural part of aging skin and keeping our skin hydrated and soft can help lessen their appearance.

Make sure you’re drinking enough water every day and follow this skincare routine to quench, firm, and plump up your skin.

Your skincare if self-care

I am not one for a complicated and time-consuming routines, I like quick and simple, but I know that spending time taking care of myself is important. It’s important to slow down and to relax – my skincare routine helps with that.

I think this skincare routine is actually pretty quick considering all the steps I have and I’ve been able to keep away forehead wrinkles almost entirely up to this point so I’m not stopping now!

The Clean Skincare Routine for Over 30

This is my new skincare routine for anyone over 30 that needs more hydration to help with tired and dull skin with the added bonus of helping to fight wrinkles.

My entire routine currently consists of Youth to the People products and I love them. The cleanser is my favorite along with the hydrating face mist and the superberry hydrate and glow dream mask which smells like creamsicles.

My morning routine goes like this:

YTTP Superfood Cleanser

YTTP Adaptogen Sooth + Hydrate Activated Mist

YTTP 15% Vitamin C + Caffeine Energy Serum

YTTP Polypeptide-121 Future Cream

 

My nighttime routine goes like this:

YTTP Superfood Cleanser (wash face twice)

YTTP Adaptogen Sooth + Hydrate Activated Mist

YTTP Dream Eye Cream

YTTP Superberry Hydrate + Grow Dream Mask

Frownies (once everything above has settled into my skin)

My secret to wrinkle treatment & prevention

I have a special routine for address and keeping away wrinkles. Prevention is key.

Your skin will get to the point where some wrinkles are just going to be there unless you get some sort of injections and if you’re like me, you don’t want needles in your face.

That’s why I use Frownies.

How Frownies work and how to use them

Frownies work by sticking to your skin and preventing you from making creases in your face. They basically freeze your face, force you to not use the muscles in your face that cause wrinkles, and train you to relax those muscles.

I put on the forehead, eye corner, and mouth corner Frownies every night before bed and go to sleep with them. You could put them on in the morning, after you cleanse your face and wear them for 15-30 minutes while you start your day, make a drink, cook breakfast, or get some chores done around the house.

Frownies are made of craft paper and an adhesive – that’s it. You will run your finger under some water and rub the water on the shiny side of the paper and hold it on your face for 30 seconds or until it sticks.

You can overlap them to cover all the areas you have wrinkles and want to relax. It’s that easy.
