Easy Peasy Pea Pasta

It can be hard to get infants, kids, and sometimes adults to eat vegetables. This creamy pea pasta recipe is quick, easy, and delicious.

I always have a bag of frozen peas in the house and I always have a lemon, olive oil, and heavy cream because those are just cooking staples in our home.

I love a one pot recipe and my daughter is a big fan of me putting food in a food processor or blender so it comes out nice and smooth. You could set aside some of the cooked peas to top off the pasta to make it a little more fun for your kids.

Make it Your Own

If you are missing some of these ingredients you can probably still make this. Skip the lemon if you have to, use a different cheese, and try it with a non-dairy milk alternative and see what happens! Add things too. Prosciutto, bacon, ham or ham would pair perfectly with this pasta dish.

Switch out the noodle shapes for whatever your family likes. We like to use short and wavy shapes or a thicker noodle to help hold the sauce. We love Trader Joe’s brown rice pasta and that’s a great option for anyone with glute sensitivities.

Freeze Some and Have it Later

We don’t freeze the actual pasta, but you can freeze the pea mixture! If you have silicone freezing trays, like the Haaka baby food freezing tray with lid that we have, use those. Flexible silicone food storage makes meal prep so mush easier for us.

Creamy Pea Pasta

Easy and delicious creamy pea pasta! You can use either frozen or fresh peas and substitute with your non-dairy milks and cheeses.

  • 1 Blender or food processor
  • 1 Pasta pot
  • 1 Pan


  • 2 Cups Peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 1/2 Cups Heavy cream
  • 1/4 Cup Olive oil Extra virgin
  • 1/2 Lemon Lemon juice
  • Parmesan cheese
  • 16 ounces Pasta (any shape you like)
  • Butter or olive oil (for cooking the peas in a pan)
  • Optional: salt and cracked black pepper (season to your liking)


  • Boil 8 quarts of water in a large pot.
  • Add a couple tablespoons of butter or olive oil to a pan and cook 2 cups of peas for about 5-7 minutes. Pull them from heat if they start to brown.
  • Add the peas to your blender or food processor along will the heavy cream, olive oil, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
  • Boil your pasta following the instructions on the package. Strain and put back in the pot.
  • Pour the creamy pea sauce over your pasta in the pot. Season with some salt and cracker black pepper. Grate Parmesan cheese to your liking and enjoy!
