One Pot Creamy Beef Pasta

You can't go wrong with beef, cheese and pasta

This is one of the recipes the family will never get tired of. Beef, cheese and pasta are crowd pleasers any time of day, any day of the year.

This one pot recipe makes a quick, simple and effortless dinner.

The Perfect Pot by Our Place

The Perfect Pot

I make this recipe in the Perfect Pot by Our Place and it quite literally is perfect. The Perfect Pot is my go-to pot for making one pot recipes for our family.

I love using my Always Pan by Our Place and when I tried the Perfect Pot the first time I thought wow, I didn’t think I would fall in love with a pot.

I have Le Creuset and Staub dutch ovens but the Perfect Pot is different. First, it’s larger than my other dutch ovens and it has little features that really make it perfect. It’s large enough to make a meal for the whole family and it makes cooking less messy and cleanup really easy.

Its design is simple and elegant. It comes in different colors and is made with a non-toxic non-stick coating inside the pan. You can cook on the stove or in the oven too! It even comes with a roasting rack you place in the bottom of the pot if you are cooking whole chickens in the oven.

One of my favorite things is the wooden spoon that has special notches on the back that make it perfect for resting on the handles of the pot when you aren’t using it. I don’t need a spoon rest, I just use the pot! Less mess for me is a win.

Lastly, the lid has a steam vent and a strain vent. If you need to let steam out without taking off the lid, you just turn the lid to let the steam out. If you are boiling pasta and are ready to drain your water, you don’t need a colander any more, you just turn the lid to the strain vent and pour the water right out of the point into the sink.

Total game changer.

One Pot Creamy Beef Pasta

Keep these ingredients stocked in your kitchen at all times

We always have a pack of ground beef, butter, tons of cheese, beef or chicken stock or bone broth, heavy cream, and pasta. Of course, we have salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano 24/7 as well.

That’s all you need to make this recipe in a pinch.

Tip: Choosing the right pasta shapes for this recipe

You can do any pasta shape, but shorter works best. I like to use fusilli, but you could use a penne, ziti or even a rigatoni if you wanted to. I have not tried fettuccine or a longer shape and I’ll explain why I avoid them.

Shorter shapes work best because there is not enough liquid in this to completely cover the pasta. When you put the lid on your pot and turn up the heat, the liquid is going to boil OVER your pasta and the steam created from the lid being on all help cook the pasta.

Make it your own

I say this with every recipe because 1) I’m a rule breaker and 2) you are eating the food you make and if you don’t like one of the ingredients I’m using you can and should substitute with what you like.

I like to use cheddar cheese but any cheese and any combination of cheese will do. Pick what you like!

You can add different seasonings and match those seasonings to the cheese you chose. If I was going to use a parmesan cheese I would add more black pepper, oregano, parsley, and crushed red pepper.
